JSC “MARKET OPERATOR” LAUNCHES THE FOURTH SEASON OF ITS ELECTRICITY MARKET AWARENESS PROGRAMME

JSC “Market Operator” is launching the fourth season of its Electricity Market Awareness Programme. For more than two years, the Programme has served as one of the leading knowledge-sharing and consultation platforms for electricity market participants, bringing together generators, traders, suppliers, representatives of public institutions, and other energy sector professionals to exchange practical expertise and address the latest developments and challenges facing the market.

The consistently strong demand for the Programme confirms its relevance. Each new season attracts new participants seeking practical knowledge of the Ukrainian electricity market, the latest regulatory developments, and the operating mechanisms of its key market segments. The consultation sessions are based on real-life market practices and draw upon the expertise of specialists from NPC "Ukrenergo", JSC “Guaranteed Buyer”, PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”, leading energy companies, and experts from JSC “Market Operator”.

The first event of the fourth season will be held on 10 August and will focus on “The Balancing Market and Electricity Producers.” The course will cover participation in the balancing market, imbalance management, and various options for marketing electricity resources available to producers.

From 17 to 21 August, participants will have the opportunity to attend the “Market Model” course—a foundational programme providing a comprehensive understanding of the architecture of Ukraine’s electricity market, pricing principles, interaction among market participants, and the operational specifics of its individual market segments.

The Programme has a strong social dimension. All proceeds received by JSC “Market Operator” from the provision of consultation services are allocated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Consequently, every participant not only invests in their own professional development but also contributes to strengthening the country's defence capabilities.

The consultation programme offered by JSC “Market Operator” includes the courses “Market Model,” “Green+,” “Distributed Generation,” and “The Balancing Market and Electricity Producers.” Its primary objective is to enhance the professional competencies of market participants, promote the dissemination of practical knowledge, and contribute to the development of a transparent, efficient, and competitive electricity market in Ukraine.
