JSC "Market Operator" announces the opening of enrollment for the “Distributed Generation” course, which will take place on March 31, 2026, as part of the Company’s Social Program aimed at increasing awareness of the functioning of the electricity market in Ukraine.
Current challenges compel Ukrainian businesses to pay particular attention to energy independence. During the period of martial law, an in-house source of electricity is not only a tool for cost optimization but also a guarantee of uninterrupted operations, resilience to potential risks and the stable development of enterprises.
The “Distributed Generation” course is designed to provide practical knowledge on the implementation of proprietary generating capacities and their operation within the framework of the current model of the electricity market of Ukraine. Course participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the technical, regulatory, and market aspects involved in the establishment of distributed generation.
The course program includes:
- a step-by-step plan for the installation, grid connection, and operation of gas-piston and cogeneration units;
- current conditions for connection to power grids during the period of martial law;
- opportunities for selling electricity on the electricity market;
- practical specifics of producers’ operations across market segments.
Course Speakers:
- Oleksandr Dushenko, Municipal Enterprise "Teplovyk"
- Dmytro Nakhodkin, LLC "GS-Trading"
- Experts of JSC "Market Operator"
The implementation of gas piston and cogeneration units is not only an effective business solution but also a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience.
The course is conducted within the framework of the Social Program of JSC "Market Operator", which also includes the training courses “Market Model,” “Green+,” “Distributed Generation,” and “Balancing Market and Producers.”
All proceeds from consultations provided within the framework of the course are directed towards supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
