THE “MARKET MODEL” COURSE COMMENCES ON MARCH 16, 2026

From March 16 to March 20, 2026 inclusive, the “Market Model” course will take place as part of the awareness-raising Program of JSC “Market Operator” dedicated to enhancing understanding of the functioning of Ukraine’s electricity market.

For more than a year and a half, the Program has brought together representatives of the energy business community, students, and the public sector around a common objective — to develop a comprehensive understanding of market mechanisms and to foster responsible participation in its development.

Why enroll in the “Market Model” course?

Course participants receive structured practical knowledge and up-to-date analytical materials covering:

• the structure of the electricity market;
• interaction with the Regulator, the Transmission System Operator (TSO), Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and other market participants;
• export and import operations;
• development of effective trading strategies;
• system balancing and imbalance management;
• mechanisms for the purchase and sale of electricity.

The course format is offline in Kyiv, with a duration of five days.

“Market Model” is a foundational course designed to provide an understanding of the logic underlying the operation of the power system, market segments (Day-Ahead Market (DAM), Intraday Market (IDM), Bilateral Contracts Market (BCM), and Balancing Market (BM)), as well as the principles of price formation and electricity trading.
