The electricity price index for the BASE period on the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) of Ukraine in January 2025 amounted to UAH 5,548.03/MWh, which is 3.99% lower than the December 2024 price. The weighted average purchase and sale price of electricity on the DAM for this period amounted to UAH 5,817.56/MWh, while the weighted average price of electricity accepted on the Intraday Market (IDM) was UAH 5,839.35/MWh.
The total trading volume on the Day-Ahead Market increased by 0.63%, while the volume on the Intraday Market decreased by 47.29%. In January 2025, a total of 2,798,437.9 MWh was accepted across both market segments. On the DAM, demand decreased by 2.08% compared to December last year, while supply increased by 9.24%. On the IDM, demand fell by 48.13% and supply decreased by 17.92%.
