INVESTMENT IN EDUCATION: OLEKSANDR HAVVA HELD A CRASH COURSE FOR STUDENTS ON THE WORK OF ELECTRICITY MARKET IN UKRAINE

Oleksandr Havva, CEO of JSC Market Operator, gave an open lecture to students of the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" on "How the electricity market of Ukraine works".
"Market Operator has extensive expertise in the electricity market functioning, so we are happy to share it with students to develop their potential and prepare young professionals to work in the electricity sector," said Oleksandr Havva in his opening speech.
Several myths about the peculiarities of electricity trading in organized market segments were dispelled during the lecture, as well as principles of pricing in the day-ahead and intraday markets were explained to students and teachers. The European integration plans of Market Operator were also announced.
