The Slovak electricity market operator OKTE held a workshop for JSC Market Operator on the operation of the European Union`s integrated spot electricity market. The exchange of experience took place within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed between the parties in 2019.
In particular, OKTE representatives told about their way of the Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) status obtaining, that OKTE received for the first time in 2015, as well as providing the function of the report registered mechanism (RRM) for the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
The Slovak regulator has also joined the workshop, and its representatives presented the rules of the European integrated day-ahead market and the intraday market operation.
Let us remind that the Market operator is an organized trading platform for carrying out electricity trades on the spot market, according to the Ukrainian legislation, and works under the European rules of electricity purchase and sale since 2019.
