On May 17, 2022, taking into account the strategic function of the JSC Market Operator for the energy industry, especially in the context of the future market coupling of Ukraine and the EU countries, the NEURC decided to set a tariff for electricity purchase and sale transactions on the day-ahead market and the intraday market at the level of 13,31 UAH/MWh from May 20, 2022.
The fully operational work of the day-ahead market and the intraday market is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of Ukraine`s electric energy market. The actual volume of trades on the DAM and IDM since March has decreased five times relative to the planned one, which puts at risk the effective development of the spot electricity market in Ukraine.
