THE MARKET OPERATOR INFORMS ON THE ORIGIN OF ELECTRICITY SOLD ON THE DAM AND IDM IN JANUARY 2023

The share of 31,05% of electricity, sold on the day-ahead market and the intraday market in January 2023, was produced from nuclear fuel and 22,91% - from natural gas. This is stated in the report of the JSC Market Operator on environmental aspects for January 2023.

The share of electricity sold on the DAM and IDM in January amounted to: 15,99% of electricity produced from coal, 11,10% - from hydropower, 5,40% - from wind energy, 4,48% - from solar energy, 2,45% - from fuel oil, 1,90% - from biogas, 1,27% - from biomass.

The source of 0,65% of electricity sold at the DAM and IDM in January 2023 is not specified. The share of another 1,08% of electricity is unknown due to the failure of some market participants to provide relevant information.
